With a low-grade economic fever spreading to much of emerging Asia, the region at least could be thankful that no real physical contagion has taken hold since the last major avian flu scare. Certainly nothing on the order of the SARS epidemic has revisited, and the scariest current global outbreak, the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (Coronavirus), having been traced to camels, has not taken flight across the Arabian Sea.
